I recently stayed at Ardgowan Cottage and had a wonderful experience. The location was incredibly convenient, with local shops just a few minutes away and easy access to the ferry terminal. The cottage itself was cozy and had a well-equipped kitchen. Everything was clean and well-maintained. Despite the adverse weather conditions, I could imagine how lovely it would be to enjoy the patio and seating areas. The parking area was spacious, making it convenient to park close to the front door. The central heating was a welcome feature after a day of exploring. I left the cottage feeling content and satisfied.
I do recommend this hotel.

Great central location, close to amenities and ferry. Cottage had everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable living area. Beds were comfy too.
Inadequate supply of toilet paper and no sponge provided. Heating controls were difficult to use and the timer settings were inconvenient.

We had a fantastic stay at Ardgowan Cottage for five nights while exploring Arran. The central location made it easy to walk to nearby cafes, shops, and the beach. The bedrooms were cosy, and we loved the spacious, fully equipped kitchen and comfy living room. Our host, Ian, was incredibly understanding and supportive when our return ferry got cancelled. The cottage is a great base for hiking, swimming, and sightseeing, and we can't wait to come back.
100% Recommend this hotel.

Great location, close to amenities and the seafront. Outdoor terraces and decking areas were ideal, especially the one at the front which gets the sun for most of the day. We enjoyed having dinner outside on the long summer evenings.
The TV reception was poor, constantly losing picture and sound. the view from the cottage was disappointing, only a glimpse of the mountain from one bedroom.

The value for money at this cottage was excellent, and the room itself was cozy and felt just like home. The location was perfect, being just a short walk to the ferry and close to shops and restaurants. The staff were incredibly helpful and responsive to our needs.
The hotel breakfast could have been improved with a wider variety of options.
